Attack on 16-year-old boy may have been revenge for bullying

CTV British Columbia
RCMP in Richmond, B.C., said Friday that a group of teenaged boys who viciously attacked a 16-year-old boy earlier this week appeared to have been motivated by revenge.

“The victim was described as a bully himself,” said RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Pound in a press release.

At about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police were called to a vacant field near Alexandra Road and Hazelbridge Way.

Officers saw a 16-year-old boy lying in the fetal position. He had been stripped of his clothes and had been badly beaten, Pound said.

Four boys, ages 14 to 17, surrounded him and had each demanded $200 from him, Pound said.

The victim had been kicked several times, and the kicks were hard enough that they left shoe impressions on his body.

One assailant allegedly used a stun gun on the victim’s head, leaving burn marks.

The boy was taken to hospital and released later that evening. Full story.
